Ethiopia, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, is a landlocked country in East Africa. It is bordered to the north by Eritrea, to the east by Djibouti and Somalia, to the south by Somalia and Kenya, to the north west by Sudan and to the south west by South Sudan. It is divided into 9 administrative regions.

The official languages are Amharic and Tigrinya.
